Acid Reflux: A Holistic Approach

Attempt to heal with a holistic approach:
1. DGL DEGLYCRRHIZINATED LICORICE ROOT: Check Health Stores for, Himalaya Organic Licorice (non-DGL licorice) or by natural Factors.
2. Lactobacillus Acidophilus Probiotics by NATREN Megadophilus (L. acidophilus NAS) Take 15 – 20 minutes before a meal with filtered water – no chlorine in the water, as chlorine damages the enzymes.
3. Magnesium: Take 500 mg of magnesium citrate, 3 times a day with meals and 1 more time just before going to bed.
4. Add salt (Himalayan or Celtic) to meals, to give the body chloride it needs to make Hydrochloric Acid which strengthens stomach acid to aid in digestion.
5. Take adequate amount of Calcium, so the stomach can squirt the digestive juice it makes into the stomach.

On a holistic perspective acid reflux is caused by insufficient acid and a lack of good bacteria in the stomach. Stomach acid is never too much.
